ENVIRONMENT INITIATIVES

Environment Initiatives

The average temperature rising, melting glaciers, and rising sea levels have been observed all around the Wolrd, and to protech the environment is becoming more and more important on a global level. Aiming to "realize a sustainable society into the future," Japan Government has set a goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. To that end, set a goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 46% from 2013 levels by 2030. “Green (environmental measures)” is an urgent matter that all of us should address, and these measures will become an important factor for growth even for small and medium-sized enterprises.
We ADL also recognize the importance of conducting management that will contribute to environmental measure, and implement the following initiatives to promote this.
We will work on global warming countermeasures for the purpose of improving the environment of the entire earth.

＜Our Commitments＞

1.Use of “earth-friendly electricity” (a service with virtually zero greenhouse gas emissions): Earth-friendly electricity (*1) uses the J credit system (*2).

*1: Earth-friendly electricity is an electric power service provided by Forval Telecom Co., Ltd. (https://elenova.jp/)
*2: The J-credit system is a system in which the government certifies the amount of emission reduction and absorption of greenhouse gases such as CO2 as "credits" through initiatives such as the introduction of energy-saving equipment and forest management. This system is a developmentally integrated system of domestic credit system and offset credit (J-VER) system, and is operated by the government.

・Able to use eco-friendly, earth-friendly electricity
・Offset greenhouse gas emission factor to effectively zero

2. Use FUROSHIKI*1 garbage bags, which are made of 99% waste plastic, and donate 8% of the price of the garbage bags to CIESF*2.: Furoshiki garbage bag can calculate the amount of CO2 emission reduction of resource recycling according to the amount used.
This very natural act of using garbage bags will be transformed into an environmental contribution activity, that creates new corporate value, in other words, a circular economy.

SDGs Policy

The world is facing various problems such as environmental problems, poverty, gender,etc now. In order to realize a sustainable society indicated by the SDGs adopted by the United Nations, the awareness and efforts of each and every one of us will be very important. In today's world, where still the thoughts of "own convernience"is prevalent, we believe that having a common concept of “benefits to the earth (good for all things on earth)” is the key to resolving these issues.

We ADL also recognizes the importance of conducting management that can contribute to the SDGs, and will implement the following initiatives to promote this.

We will donate to CIESF, a public interest incorporated foundation, for the purpose of realizing a sustainable society.
